Pastoral & Wellbeing Support
From their earliest years, we encourage pupils to develop genuine self-confidence by providing an empowering and enriching environment. Our small class sizes and specialist staff ensure that each child is supported to explore new opportunities, take risks, and unlock their full potential in a setting where they feel happy and secure.
A Close-Knit Community
From the moment they join us, every pupil becomes an integral part of our school community. Younger children regularly interact with older pupils during assemblies, break times, and whole-school events, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect. These daily connections create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
Prioritising Pupil Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our pupils is at the heart of everything we do. All pupils engage in a comprehensive PSHE curriculum, with younger children benefiting from assemblies and class teacher-led sessions, while Years 5 and 6 pupils receive dedicated lessons and tutor time. This tailored programme equips pupils with the skills and resilience to thrive in the world around them, ensuring they are confident and prepared.
Tailored Pastoral Care
Every pupil is supported by a dedicated class teacher or, for Years 5 and 6, a form tutor, alongside their Head of Key Stage. This personalised approach ensures that each child receives the guidance and encouragement they need to flourish. Our small class sizes allow us to build strong relationships, providing individualised support to help every pupil succeed.
Encouraging Leadership
We nurture leadership skills across the school through opportunities in sport, outdoor activities, music, drama, and our House system. All pupils are assigned to one of four houses, participating in house competitions and events, including the annual Sports Day, where they collaborate and compete with peers of all ages. For older pupils, becoming a prefect is a significant milestone, marking their growth in confidence and responsibility as they prepare for Senior School.
